Head of School

Ms. Christianna Fogler
|
Christianna Fogler took over as Head of
St. Stephen’s Classical Academy in June of 2005 when the previous
head moved with her family to Fort Collins. Ms. Fogler
is delighted to be serving as Head of School, not only because it
meant she would be able to return to her childhood roots in the Colorado
Springs area, but also because she attended Christian schools herself
as a child and recognizes the importance of such a firm spiritual
foundation in her life.
Prior to joining the Academy, Christianna had been
teaching English, Mathematics, Discipleship, Art & Drama and serving as Head
of the English Department at Desert Christian Middle School in Tucson, Arizona.
Her unique and creative approach to education also led to her promotion to Director
of Curriculum Development. During her time at Desert Christian, she was also
very active in the new school accreditation process through the Association of
Christian Schools International (ACSI). Christianna feels that her successful
teaching experience and administrative expertise was a great training ground
for her current position as Head of School.
Christianna is excited about and deeply committed
to providing a solid classical Christian education that will equip the children
of St. Stephen’s with the necessary skills with which to be the leaders
and shapers of the future. As Francis Schaeffer wrote in Back to Freedom and
Dignity: “Christians should prepare to take the lead in giving direction
to cultural change. And if it goes poorly, as well it might in the post-Christian
world, then we should be consciously preparing the next generation for the new
battles it will face.” |

Pam Levicki, Second & Third Grade Teacher
I hail from the great state of Texas—Houston, specifically.
My undergraduate degree is from Colorado State University, with a
major in Social Sciences and a minor in History. I am currently pursuing
my Master’s in Education at the University of Colorado at Co.
Springs. I spent my first years in education as the School Year Coordinator
and French teacher for Summerbridge Houston, an after school and
summer school program for inner-city 7th and 8th graders. I then
moved on to Annunciation Orthodox School where I taught 7th grade
Language Arts for two years. After Annunciation, I worked at St.
Stephen’s Episcopal School of Houston! What a coincidence!
At SSESH I worked in the upper elementary classroom–a combined
room of 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. This was an amazing experience
due to the Montessori environment–I loved it. After moving
to Colorado Springs, I took my time searching for a school that would
fit my life, spiritually and academically. I feel so blessed to have
found St. Stephen’s, and been offered this opportunity to be
a part of the St. Stephen’s family. |

I am eager to bring students into the twenty-first century using a unique combination
of education experience spanning over twenty-two years with backgrounds in
education, Christian doctrine, character development, and leadership. I hold
a B.S. in Education from Troy State University, Alabama. I come to St. Stephen’s
after having taught at Our Lady of the Rockies for the past thirteen years
where I specialized in such areas as phonics, reading, spelling, and science.
I have a wide variety of teaching aids, motivational and implementation strategies
to engage students in active learning. I have many hobbies and interests including
the Hand Bell choir and the Officer’s Wives Singing Group. |

My husband, Joe and I moved from Minnesota three years ago. He is an investment representative for Edward Jones. We have two grown children. Our daughter, Marya, is a Lieutenant at Peterson Air Force Base and was married this past July. Our son, Kyle, is laying pipeline in Texas. I received my teaching degree from the University of Minnesota at Mankato. Most of my teaching career has been spent in Christian education and there isn’t anything I would rather do. I have taught first, second, fifth, and sixth grades. In Minnesota I also taught Adult Basic Education, ESL, and GED prep classes in the community. I love the weather in Colorado and the beautiful mountains. Besides children, I love animals. Currently we have two longhaired miniature dachshunds and two cats. I love my flowers, decorating, reading, and spending time with my family and friends. I am so excited to be a part of St. Stephen’s Classical Academy. |

I am originally from Chicago, but moved here after 25 years in Philadelphia due to a business transfer. I graduated from St. Mary’s College with a degree in History and Education; and did graduate work in education at Cabrini College. I have been teaching and substitute teaching for over 25 years. The majority of my teaching in Pennsylvania was with 3 and 4 year olds at St. David’s Episcopal School. I have been at St. Stephen’s since our move here: 8 years teaching our Kindergarten, 1 year substituting and now I am with the 4 year olds.
We have three children – Anne, a lawyer in Washington DC, Bill, a PhD candidate at CU (after teaching 4 years in Connecticut), and Tim, finishing his degree through Notre Dame in Biology (he also wants to teach!). My husband is retired after over 30 years in the financial sector in business. He is working on his golf game. I have been involved throughout the years on boards with PTO’s, varsity sports and sports clubs due to our children. I am now a volunteer at Memorial Hospital – Information & Escort Desk. My time is spent with our family activities, tennis and reading. |

I am originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan. I went to school at Huntington University in Indiana where I received my middle grades education degree. I got married this summer and moved to Colorado Springs with my husband. St. Stephen’s has been a wonderful, God-centered place for me to use my gifts and it is a great family to belong to. |

My husband and I just recently moved to Colorado Springs from Arnold, Missouri. We hope to start our own photography studio. My husband is a professional photographer. I graduated from the Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy. I have also worked as an assistant director for teenage girls at Cheley Colorado Camps.
I am on the contemporary praise team, drama team and on the leadership team for our women’s ministry at Concord Baptist Church. I absolutely love children and love to help them learn and grow. I also love God, and look forward to the opportunity of teaching children Bible stories and about Jesus! |
